Academic Study

Stage 4 - Years 7 and 8

Students in Years 7 and 8 study the following mandatory subjects:

English, Mathematics, Science, HSIE (Geography and History), Visual Arts, Music, Technology, PDHPE, Language (Arabic) and Religion 

Stage 5 - Years 9 and 10

The Academic programme at the College for Year 9 and Year 10 is based on the curriculum mandated by NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority). We provide a differentiated curriculum with the aim of meeting the needs of all students with innovative and flexible programmes that allow students to achieve their full potential.

Students in Stage 5 study the following mandatory subjects:

English, Mathematics, Science, HSIE (Geography and History), PDHPE, Language (Arabic) and Religion

Elective courses on offer at Al Sadiq are:

Commerce, Visual Arts, Information & Software Technology, Industrial Technology - Timber

Stage 6 - Years 11 and 12

The Academic programme at the College for Year 11 and 12 is based on the curriculum mandated by NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority).

The development of our modern and well-resourced facilities provides a fantastic platform from which the College can deliver Stage 6 education for its future senior students. Ultimately, the provision of curriculum to Year 11 and 12 students will be determined by the choices made by students and their parents, following extensive consultation, and by the school’s capacity to deliver high quality teaching and learning.

The College provides vocational education options including TAFE, as well as for students whose unique interests fall outside the options that the school delivers.

Courses on offer at Al Sadiq are:

English Advance, English Standard, English Extension, Maths General 1, 2U Maths, Extension Maths, Arabic Continuers, Religion, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Food Technology, D & T, Visual Arts, Legal Studies, Business Studies, Modern History, Society & Culture, PDHPE.

 

CLASSROOM REQUIREMENTS 

Children are required to have the following items with them at the commencement of the school year. All items should be clearly named.  Items must be replaced throughout the year if they are lost, broken or used.
