 Secondary Curriculum 

Al Sadiq provides secondary education for students from Year 7 and caters for student needs and interests by offering an enriched curriculum with further experiences in Arabic, Religion and Sport.

Stage 4 – Years 7 and 8

The Academic programme at the College for Years 7 and 8 is based on the curriculum mandated by the Board of Studies, NSW. We provide a differentiated curriculum with the aim of meeting the needs of all students with innovative and flexible programmes that allow students to achieve their full potential.

Students in Years 7 and 8 study the following mandatory subjects:

English

Mathematics

Science

HSIE – Geography and History

Visual Arts

Music

Technology

PDHPE

Language (Arabic)

Religion

Stage 5 – Years 9 and 10

Stage 6 – Years 11 and 12 

Planning is already underway for the College in relation to the curriculum offerings that will be made available to students in Years 11 and 12. Students, parents and staff will take part in the planning for Preliminary and Higher School Certificate courses that will be provided at Al Sadiq College from 2012.

The development of our modern and well-resourced facilities provides a fantastic platform from which the College can deliver Stage 6 education for its senior students. Ultimately, the provision of curriculum to Year 11 and 12 students will be determined by the choices made by students and their parents, following extensive consultation, and by the school’s capacity to deliver high quality teaching and learning.

The College will provide for vocational education options including TAFE, as well as for students whose unique interests fall outside the options that the school delivers.
