TARBIYAH
The Al Sadiq College Difference – Tarbiyah, Building Character Through Faith & Knowledge
At Al Sadiq College, we believe education extends beyond academic achievement and includes character building. Our Tarbiyah education initiatives promote “Inspiration & Transformation”. We are committed to developing confident, compassionate, and ethical young people. We strive to instil strong moral values grounded in the Muslim Alawite faith and Levantine culture, empowering students to make a positive contribution to the world around them. As the world’s first Muslim Alawite educational institution, Al Sadiq College provides a unique learning environment where students are supported academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally within a strong and connected community.
A Holistic Approach to Education
Honouring our Muslim Alawite heritage and the teachings of Imam Ali (AS) our educational philosophy is built on the belief that faith and knowledge work together to shape pure, well-rounded young people with moral character and purpose.
سبيل أبلج المنهاج، أنور السّراج، فبالإيمان يستدلّ على الصّالحات، وبالصّالحات يستدلّ على الإيمان، وبالإيمان يعمر العلم
The Imam Ali (AS) best describes the long-term relationship between faith, virtues and knowledge with his words:
“This path (faith) is an illuminated course and the brightest of lamps. Guidance towards virtuous actions is sought through faith while guidance towards faith is achieved through virtuous actions. Through faith, knowledge prospers.”
Through our Tarbiyah approach, students are encouraged to:
- Develop a strong ethical approach to navigating through complex worldly situations
- Acquire confidence in their identity and beliefs
- Build resilience, compassion and integrity
- Strengthen leadership and communication skills
- Fostering respect, tolerance and humility
- Contribute positively to Australian society
- Grow into respectful and responsible global citizens
We strive to create an environment where every child feels known, secure, supported and valued.
ACADEMIC CARE
Senior school students meet new challenges and need to be able to cope with academic and personal development in a time of great change, and maintain a positive mindset.
Our Academic Care Program is structured around our school values and hones individual strengths to help develop strong connections to others, build a capacity for resilience in adversity, perseverance through challenge and optimism for the future. We believe that by focusing on strengths rather than weaknesses, students will flourish.
Senior Students in Years 11 and 12 are also provided with programs to further assist their preparation with senior study and post school decisions.

HOUSE SYSTEM
purpose, integrity, and a strong moral compass.
Students are part of one of four Houses: Scholars, Roses, Lanterns, or Lions, where dedicated Heads of House provide ongoing guidance, build meaningful relationships, and support wellbeing through proactive and restorative practices. Our Specialist Wellbeing Team works alongside staff to embed positive behaviour and social-emotional learning into daily school life, ensuring every student feels known, supported, and empowered.
Complementing this, the Sisters’ and Brothers’ Clubs offer safe spaces for reflection, goal setting, and personal development. Through these experiences, the College seeks to develop graduates who are intellectually curious, grounded in a strong spiritual conscience, and motivated by a commitment to social justice, equipping them to lead with compassion and make a meaningful impact in the world.
CAREERS
fostering a strong sense of belonging while nurturing each student’s spiritual, personal, and
academic growth. Grounded in the principles of Tarbiyah: developing character, self-
discipline, and a deep connection to faith, our approach supports students to grow with
purpose, integrity, and a strong moral compass.

Empower Minds, Enrich Hearts, Embrace the Future.
